A celebrated and renowned artist, Chng Seok Tin has, over the years, exhibited widely both locally and overseas, making a difference to the local arts scene, as well as helping put the arts in Singapore onto the international map. A recipient of the recent 2005 Cultural Medallion - the highest honor the Republic of Singapore can give to honor outstanding individuals in the Arts, she commented in a telephone interview that she felt honored that her country has chosen to honor her past thirty years of contributing to the nation.
